Some games, like Havocado, appear completely ridiculous at first, but then you find that you’ve been playing them for hours on end. It’s a multiplayer brawler with physics, and the fun part of the game is that nothing ever goes exactly as you expected. The controls intentionally feel haphazard and loose. Jumping, flying, punching, stealing cars, blowing things up, and usually laughing because something incredibly dumb just happened are all examples of what you do.
The way each match is played varies. Sometimes you’re flying boats or helicopters, sometimes you’re tossing hands on a tiny map, and sometimes the map itself turns into your worst enemy. The moves are clumsy, the hits are erratic, and half the time no one really understands what’s happening, but that’s part of the appeal. It seems like a party game meant to cause mayhem.
There are flaws in avocado. If you prefer serious or highly competitive games, this one might feel a bit too wild because of its goofy physics. However, Havocado is superior to most if you like unpredictable battles, ragdoll physics, entertaining multiplayer games, and pure madness.
When you don’t want pressure, this is the ideal game to play with friends. It makes for endless laughter, mayhem, and “one more match.”
